What is Savage Worlds - Pool's Journal?
Savage Worlds is a table-top role playing game, like Dungeons and Dragons.
Pool's Journal is my character's record of our adventures. This is a narration of events from the character's point of view, and does not include out-of-character things like dice rolls, DM explanations and table-talk. The journal entries will read like the writings of a (fictional) eccentric scientist as he experiences events during adventures with his party.
The Setting
120 years after worldwide starvation brought on by the accidental release of a genetically engineered biodiesel-making bacteria and the wars that followed, humans scavenge and fight with each other on the outskirts of cities still patrolled by the robotic military forces leftover from the wars. The players are a scavenging group from the community at Spier Falls Dam, in upstate New York. They scout the wastes for usable materials and retrieve them despite the interference of rival settlements, roaming gangs, and hostile robots.
